This tour has been the biggest World Tour of any independent Hip Hop act/label this year and clearly exemplifies the impact the Guru, Solar, Jazzmatazz and 7 Grand are having on the Music Industry today. The Timebomb World tour kicked off in Jan 2008 and has brilliantly taken the Jazzmatazz concept to more than 75 cities around the globe on a grass roots level that has never been seen before. 7 Grand took this original, unique and prestigious brand of Hip Hop around the world directly to the people who appreciate it the most and who rely on the inspiration and motivation that it provides. Our “killer” Hip Hop/ Jazz set produced by Solar has consistently proved without a doubt that Guru and Solar own the best Hip Hop/ Jazz show on the planet and that 7 Grand is a vital catalyst in keeping Real Hip Hop alive for the future. The cool thing was that the crowds were so vastly mixed and included many 7 Grand supporters of varied ages, generations and backrounds. This type of generation bridging has never before been seen in the industry on this level and should not go unnoticed.
Another important element of this World Tour was that were there on the road during the time that our new president Barack Obama was elected. Because of myself and Solar’s credible, articulate and intelligent nature, we were asked by many overseas media outlets to comment on our feelings about this historic event and the influences of the Hip Hop Culture on the outcome. Do note that 7 Grand, Guru and Solar are uniquely on the rise during this great time for America and the World and although we are not politicians in any way, we do provide the level-headed, creatively intelligent, charismatic, youthful yet mature, dependable leadership that is essential to the growth and positive change the Hip Hop culture so desperately needs. In the way that our new president has inspired the hopes and dreams of Americans and the rest of the World, 7 Grand is committed to being guardians of Real Hip Hop and providing the necessary guidance that will put a better face on Hip Hop and Urban Music Culture.
